Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Rabbi Celia received her early religious education there. While visiting rela-tives in the United States (her mother is American), she attended the URJ camp in Warwick, NY. It was then she decided to become a rabbi. She started her studies at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem and was ordained at the Leo Baeck Rabbinical College in London. For the past ten years she has been associ-ate senior rabbi and director of youth programs at Radlett Reform Synagogue just outside of London. As a woman in the rabbinate familiar with the Jewish communities here and in Europe, and the daughter and grand-daughter of resistance fighters, she has a unique story to tell.
